Madrid is crafted by artists and completely wrapped in art. All its many expressions have a place in the city. The city lights cannot be compared to any other city in the world. Art can be found within the many museums as EL Museo Del Prado, El Museo Reina Sofia, El Museo Thyssen Bornemisza, El museo ABC, of drawing and illustration, El Museo Arqueologico, and El museo Del Romanticismo.The smaller museums also have large collections such as Museo Carballo, Museo Lázaro Galdiano, or Museo Carlos de Amberes among others. Also, you can   enjoy art through the many foundations and showrooms such as Círculo de Bellas Artes, The foundation Caja Madrid, the Foundation Juan March, the Foundation “La Caixa” has an exhibition of Miró “miró y el objeto” (that through May 22), the Foundation BANCAIXA, the Crystal Palace in Retiro Park, and the  showroom of the Community of Madrid. There are several cultural centres, among them are the Centro Cultural Conde Duque or the Centro Cultural de la villa. There are also many monasteries; including the Monastery of the Descalzas Reales and the Monastery of La Encarnación. In Madrid the Paseo del Prado it is known colloquially as the Art Walk, nowhere in the world has as much focus on art, charm, beauty and elegance in such a small space. In Madrid you can buy a car also known as “El Abono Paseo del arte”. It is an annual subscription which allows entry to the three most famous museums and some galleries.

In the street you will also encounter art, you only have to walk through the city and live through it, also features an outdoors museum; Museum of public Art of Madrid located in Paseo De La Castellana at metro stop Ruben Darío. Visiting a specific outdoor museum you be exposed to a lot of art. Even Madrid is a real museum withim itself. Madrid is a real museum in itself, where any show of Art in his streets only makes increase his beauty.

Regardless of the size of the exhibit, the street art you encounter in Madrid only further serves to magnify the beauty of this special city.

In the sky of Madrid is full of art and sculptures. One must pay attention to the roofs of the buildings in Madrid as they are full of art. You will be astonished by what goes un noticed at first sight; Its part of the magic of this city which must be look at twice in order to discover  all its treasures, it´s necessary to first contemplate the best way to “squeeze” Madrid to its maximum. Some roofs of the city they look Majestic, worthy and almost alive. I recommend you that see the “cuadrigas de Higinio Basterra” from the Circulo de Bellas Artes at sunset.

Architecture and art in Catholicism goes back to the ancient world although it reached its height in Spain in the 11th century. Within the churches you will discover that art and religion have been kept together, even in the 20th century they have a small role. In Madrid there are plenty of churches, we are going to reference some of the most artistically interesting go to speaking. In the first place Almudena Cathedral,a must see, is  free to enter, but you must pay  to go to the top where the dome is located. If you find yourself at the Prado Museo, take advantage of the opportunity and visit “los Jeronimos”, located next to the Prado. Los Jeronimos is interesting its fashioned in the late gothic style. San Francisco el Grande,located in the neighborhood of La Latina, has a  dome measuring 33 meters in diameter and  is considered to be the  third largest Christian dome in the world. The entry to the museum costs 3 €. There are many other churches in Madrid, in all of which you will find art, history and amazing architecture.

And don´t forget the parks! The most famous park in Madrid is Retiro. The park is inundated with numerous statues of any varities, a cultural center with constant exhibitions, El Centro cultural Casa de Vacas Retiro, a Crystal Palace which serves as a daily meeting place for hundreds of street performers. We’ve its another park a little ways from the city center ,El Capricho. its possible to arrive via the  Metro from the center. Take metro station  El Capricho. An artistic natural space, steeped in history, it will stimulate all sensations and shouldn´t be missed by art lovers. It was created at the end of the 17th century, with Italian and French influences it is one the most beautiful landscape in the city, blended together with sculptures, temples,chapel, ect … Nor should we overlook La Casa de Campo de Madrid.

Throughout the entire city, but especially concentrated in the neighbourhood of Chueca, Alonso Martínez, Lavapiés and Las Letras; you will find the largest concentration of Art Galleries in Madrid. All can be visit for free in schedule opened to the public. In them you will find authentic treasures,with you can enjoy exhibitions of national and international artists, works of paintings, sculpture and graphic works  during the temporary and permanent exhibitions. we encourage you to visit during the days of inauguration as the gallery owners will invite you to a glass of wine or beer and if you´re  lucky to some ham. It is a great way to enjoy the art and meet new artists, materials and forms of expression. Although you might not have money to purchase any art, we always take the art with us. It is worth it to include these galleries in your Art tour of Madrid.

In February Madrid produces an exhibition honoring the world of art from the 80´s it celebrated in Madrid ARCO – INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF CONTEMPORARY ART from the 24th to the 28th February 2016 in IFEMA FERIA DE MADRID. This year celebrates its 35th anniversary. On account of of 35th anniversary “AÑO35.MADRID” in paying tribute to the city of Madrid by distributing art through all of Madrid In different institutions with samples from various artists. Arco is open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday the rest of the week is only for professionals, It has a high price between 30 € and 40 € (varing by day and for some groups such as students costs 21 €)

Also from the 24th to the 28th February 2016 we/it celebrates “ART MADRIS’16”, Fair of contemporary art that is celebrated in the gallery of crystal of Cibeles’s building, enter from Street Montalban 1. Participates include national and international galleries that deal with contemporary art, emerging artist, and historical vanguards among others. Another opportunity to living art and to pay tribute to all those who created art for the rest of us to enjoy.

Madrid talks alot about art these days, but Madrid has always been an artistic city which can be seen and feel; a city which caresses your emotions and takes you to another place to you where your dreams can not be inhibited.Art & Madrid.
